Where the River Runs Dry

My way of venting out my exhaustions, confusions, excitements, and aggrevations in my world & those in and around it.

Monday – First day of the week!

Today is Monday – you know that dreaded day of the week. One of the longest, nothing goes right, can’t seem to get back in the groove of how things work! Yep, you know what I’m talking about.

For today I think I’m going to work on cleaning out the basement, all the closets, all & I mean ALL of the laundry which I’m almost done with it now. Yay! Give me a pat on the back! So far I have cleaned out the dresser and cleaned out the closet. Now to get rid of all of the old clothes and clothes that do not fit me anymore. Yes, I’ve gained a bit of weight. Over the weekend I went shopping for some clothes and shoes. I’m addicted to shoes but I needed some dressy shoes to wear out. The ones I found are dressy and I can wear them anywhere – well except in the mud or grass. They’re 2 inch heeled boots. I love them and I got a good deal on them. I got them on sale along with a $3.00 discount – I can never pass up a good deal!

The clothes I bought are dressy office attire as well as going out and having a good time clothes. Since I’ve been looking for an office job or sales job lately, I really needed something else to wear other than jeans, t-shirt, and a pair of sneakers. I’ve applied to quite a few places lately and still no luck. I think it is that I’ve been working for myself for so long that no one really wants to hire me for anything else. I have experience in about everything – Sales, Retail, Writing, Photography, Fast Food, Call Center, Telemarketing, Shift Manger, Office Manager, Restaurant Manager, Secretary, Administrative Assistant, Cashier, Merchandiser, Driver, Animal Attendant & the list goes on and on. The jobs I’ve been applying are for Secretary, Retail Sales, Cashier, & Photography. I have a few small freelance writing gigs, but it’s not enough to make ends meet at the moment. I’ll always work as a freelance writer but only part-time. I really need a part-time or full-time hourly or salary job. I had a great paying hourly freelance writing job at one point, but it was only temporary and the project is now over. I would love to land another hourly job like that, but they seem to be few and far between – at least the ones that pay more than $2.50 an hour. Who really works for $2.50 an hour unless you are a waitress or something. And even waitresses around this area make more than that as their hourly wage plus tips. I got an email yesterday for a job that I was considered for that I applied for on GetAFreelancer.com. As it would turn out it may be a scam. It said in the email to get a screen name so that the conference call can be set up. When I went to the link to get my screen name it took me to a conference call page and it asked for a monthly fee of $39.99 a month. I contacted the employer and he said he did not realize that his page required new potential employees to pay a monthly fee of $39.99 and that it was the only way he knew how to set up a conference call. I emailed him back letting him know that there are free messengers out there that will allow free conference calls as well as VOIP services. I haven’t heard from him since. The job was for a virtual assistant for a real estate company in New York. I’m guessing it was a scam since it is required that employees pay a monthly fee just to be considered and to work for them.

I would love to do a virtual assistant job. I worked as a virtual assistant in 2005 for a woman who ran a few too many websites and I took care of a few of them for her, scheduling appointments, hiring writers for various areas of the sites, and editing the content. Eventually she sold all of her websites and moved on to other types of work. I’ve searched for Virtual assisting jobs lately and have had no luck with any of them. I’ll keep looking though.

Time seems to be slipping away today. I guess cause I’ve been busy working on cleaning up and doing some fall cleaning. I can’t believe how beautiful it is outside. Fall is finally here!

Talking is Hard To Do!

Just like the headline says “Talking is hard to do!”. Yesterday my front bottom tooth split. Not sure why, and now I can’t speak clearly. I haven’t made it to the dentist yet – no insurance plan and no cash equal no cure. So, sitting here talking to my new friend on Yahoo and emailing my old friends and catching up on some DVR stuff is all I have to do since there’s no work right now. At least I don’t have a job that involve talking with voice. I couldn’t imagine being a phone rep or something, I’d never be able to get through the day.

Well, this entry may not be all that long. I just feel like crap today – so there’s really not much to say about anything. I have quite a few emails to answer and I want to work on my website today and add some informative text. But that probably just won’t happen today.

It’s cold here today. I’m not sure if it’s just because I feel bad today or if it really is cold. It’s only September – it should still be hot outside. Well, I guess I’ll write more in this later.

Unclutter My Life Day!

UNCLUTTERING MY LIFE
Today may be a Monday, but I call it “Unclutter My Life Day”! I’ve only lived in this house with my boyfriend not even a year yet and you would think I’d been here for the last 10 years. I have so much stuff. I started out with hardly nothing, then suddenly it began building up. The office closet is crammed full of stuff (nothing really of use). The basement is also starting to get cluttered up as well. Since we’re currently doing renovations on the house I thought I’d unclutter it as well.

I’ve already started to unclutter my life somewhat. Last night I gave my boyfriend my 1988 Chevy Camaro that we just bought no more than a month and a half ago. We got it for me and he repaired what needed to be repaired and was waiting for me to put it on the road. With there being no work lately, I couldn’t afford to put it on the road and since I don’t really go anywhere I decided it wasn’t a real high priority. He wanted it on the road so he could drive it, so to make him happy – it’s all his now. The downside to doing that is I no longer have a vehicle of my own. I drive the Jeep which he is in the process of trying to sell – so once that is gone, I will have nothing to drive.

“I have work, how much would you like, and in what time frame?”
I keep searching for writing jobs online, and some of the editors I contact have empty promises of “Yes I have work, how much would you like and in what time frame.” That’s all I hear with no projects sent to me and no other responses from them. Is it true? Am I just a burned out freelance writer of 9 years that no one wants to hire anymore. Do editors only want to pay $3.50 for 500 words now days. What happened to making $40 per 500 words? Where did all those jobs go. I bet they’re still out there and are probably the same jobs that these editors are pawning off for only $3.50 an article and they keep the remaining $36.50 for themselves. I guess that’s why the call it “The Article Mill”.

Learning Photoshop Elements 6.0
Today I also want to learn to use Photoshop Elements 6.0 well. Right now I can crop a pic and add text to it. Other than that, not a damn thing. I’ve searched forums and google for tuturials but still none that are specific enough. I guess I’m going to have to break down and buy the book.

 Well it’s a plan
Okay, I have decided to try to sell some of my photographs to magazines. Some of these magazines pay much more for photographs than they do for articles. And I have a ton of old photographs and I can take plenty of new ones to send out. Yes photographs are a bit more difficult that conducting the printed word and make it sound just right, but I think I can do this.

Saturday & It’s Raining!

Well, it’s finally Saturday and it’s raining outside. Seems to be the overflow of Hurricane Hanna, but I don’t mind it. We need the rain. Today, there’s really not much planned, just the norm. I will search the internet high and low for an online writing gig – find a few, apply for them and then move onto my photography portfolio. Yesterday I stayed in my office all day. Today however I think I may sit in my Saturday workstation. I usually sit in the living room, but lately I’ve kinda tried to keep my living room for living and my office for working, not that much work really gets done in there anyway. So maybe out here in the living room today (yeah right) some stuff will get done.

Well, even if nothing gets done today, it’s the weekend. No harm done, right! Today, I may just search photography guidelines for magazines. Every magazine has photographs in it, although many magazines have their own personal photographers, I may be able to sneak in there somehow with a photograph or two.

Okay – Today’s plans:

1. Laundry
2. Update Photography Portfolio
3. Clean out the Fridge
4. Update Netflix
5. Search Craigslist for writing jobs
6. Twitter – enough said
7. Update Facebook

This entry will be continued!

My Favorite Time of Year!

It looks like Fall is on its way! My favorite time of year. The days get a bit cooler, a nice sweet smelling breeze blows, and the beautiful colors. Oh how could you forget the beautiful oranges, reds, yellows, and browns. As not only a writer but a photographer, great photographs can be created from the fall season.

I’m a spring child, although I think I was really supposed to be a fall baby. Spring I do not like, let me say it again – I DO NOT LIKE SPRING! I do however LOVE fall. My boyfriend is a fall baby and I guess that’s why we get along so well. I hate snow and anything that has to do with the cold. I’m alright with summer as long as it has a steady breeze blowing and rains here and there a few times a week. Fall however is mine – all mine.

Even the holidays – There’s Halloween – my ultimate favorite and Thanksgiving – the time of being thankful and eating. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, yorkshire puddings, pumpkin pie, yams smothered in marshmallows, buttered rolls, and sweet potato pie. Yum! I’m starting to get hungry just thinking about it. Now don’t get me wrong, Christmas is great too – the gifts and basically the same foods you had for Thanksgiving, but with Thanksgiving you also get that great romantic fall weather.

Last night I finally got one of my list articles in order and tracked down the magazine’s email address and sent it off to them. Keep your fingers crossed, I really want to sell this article. It didn’t really take all that long to write, but the editing process was a bit rough. It started out with 16 items on the list, and by the time it was completed, it had only 9 items.

Getting the Ball Rolling

LIST ARTICLES: Last night I began working on quite a few list articles and three are completed. I couldn’t beleive how easy they were to write. I still have to revise the three that I completed, but that shouldn’t take too long. I found my ideas by just crusing around on the internet, looking at boards and some very popular websites that everyone checks out at least once a month. If those site get lots of traffic and those are topics everyone is currently interested in, then why not write on those topics.  I still have a few more to work on and complete, then find a great market for them.

UPDATE: The Dieting update. Well, I’ve lost 4 pounds – yay me! The whole eating issue (what I eat) well that ship sailed a while ago. This morning for breakfast I”m making Mac – N – Cheese! Yep that’s what I’m eating.

BEFORE:

TODAY IS THE DAY – These two sap seeping annoying tress are going to saying “See -Ya!” today. I love trees, but these pine trees have been ruining the paint on our vehicles day after day. So today, they’re getting cut down and shipped out! They’re pine trees, not my favorite type of trees.

Below are a few little tidbits about the trees that are getting cut down.

Virginia Pine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The short (4–8 cm), yellow-green needles are paired in fascicles and are often twisted. Cones are 4-7cm long and may persist on the tree for many years, often (though not always) releasing their seeds in the second year. In growth habit, some trees may be inclined with twisted trunks.

This pine is useful for reforesting and provides nourishment for wildlife. Its other main use is in Christmas tree plantations. It also can provide wood pulp and lumber.

Virginia Pine is also known as Scrub Pine and Jersey Pine.

AFTER:

Now it’s time to get back to work! Time to get all of my ducks in a row and make some money!

Clean-up Day & A Bit of Venting!

Well it’s time to do some clean up on my computer and a lot of the crap I have online. I’ve been doing a lot of nothing over the last few days. I did however get one query out into the world and am currently working on another for Woman’s World. It should be completed a little bit after I complete this post and publish it online. I’m going to shove it in the mail box tonight so it will go with the other mail in the morning.

So far today I have gotten a few things in order in the kitchen and have searched pretty much all day for online jobs – still nada damn thing. It used to be so easy to find online work. Now days, nothing and if I do find something they usually want to pay $1.00 for 500 words – WTF!!! I really need work, but I refuse to work for nothing. Most of these articles have to be deeply researched and you don’t even get a byline. All work will be property of whoever hired you. It’s a lot of bull and shouldn’t be allowed, but the reason it is allowed, is because there are so many writers out there who are just starting out that will write for that. I can’t lie, I did that in the very beginning for about a week until I stumbled onto a few jobs that paid me what I was worth, well, maybe not what I was worth, but a hell of a lot closer than what my first client was paying. I notified the client that paid so low and let her know that I was offered a job doing the same thing for a lot more pay and I could no longer write for her rates. If however she’d like to up her rates, I would gladly stay – She refused.

I quit freelance writing (put it on hold) to go back to school in 2006 and didn’t take on any new projects. I was making a very comfortable income at the time, but could not take on projects and do a large course load from school. Now that I’m ready to jump back on board and start making a living at freelance writing again, there is nothing out there. Magazine’s are something I’m working towards as well. I’m writing short fillers and list articles and sending them out to potential magazines. Hopefully I’ll land one and be able to keep up the selling to magazines. I’m hoping to land an online job for now even if its temporary so I can make a bit of income. This no income deal is getting old really fast!

In November I’m going to do the NaNoWriMo with my new novel “Where The River Runs Dry”. I’m not really sure of the genre as of yet. I’ve changed it quite a bit over the last year, but now it’s time to get down to business and get it done!

A Brand New Month

Okay, since it’s a brand new month, I have a brand new plan. This morning I woke up, heated up a blue berry muffin, made some coffee, and sat down in front of my laptop ready to search for work. My plan was to write up a filler or two really quick, but finding some ongoing work is a MUST DO right now. So, the writing for magazines has been set on the back burner for a bit. I have finished my query letter to Woman’s World. Nowjust to find the email or postal address and get it out to them. It’s for a filler however, so I really wanted to write the filler and send it as well, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen today or at least not in the next four or five hours.

Change is Good

Yesterday I felt like crap all day long – that’s why there was no entry yesterday! Some of you who know me, know that I go by a pseudonym when writing and in everyday life. I’m currently looking into changing my name legally to the name I go by. I plan to change it right after my divorce is official. I’m not really sure when that will be, but I hope I will land the funds soon and it can be done.

The List of Things To Do Today

I have listed all the things I need to get done today.

1. Vacuum the Floors
2. Clean under the sink (toss out everything that we don’t use)
3. Organize Kitchen Cabinets
4. Laundry – (Did some of it)
5. Send out Query to Dog Fancy Magazine – (Did it!)
6. Mop all Floors
7. Clean both Bathrooms
8. Clean up the backyard (remove the fencing around the garden)
9. Paint my toenails (did my fingernails yesterday)
10. Try to fix the Desktop Computer – (Couldn’t fix it)

Getting Down To Business

I really need to get down to business. Not just the list above, but with writing and making some real money. I have so many things piling up that need to be paid and kept up and just not making it. I just seem to be losing momentum here somehow. The ideas are here, they get put into print, I ask for quotes, I try to get everything in focus and in order, but then the artilce just never takes form. I post and read articles in magazines, I know what I want to do, what I want to say, what I want it to look like, sound like, feel like, be like – well you get the point. I refuse to give up though – I just somehow need to get some motivation somewhere.

Last night while I was laying in bed about to fall asleep I had so many ideas and basically wrote an entire article (in my head). I was just too tired to get up and get the pen and paper to jot it all down. This morning I woke up remembering that I had an idea, but couldn’t remember anything else about it. Not even the idea. I do that alot, or I’ll be in the shower (all the ideas appear while you’re in the shower) and by the time I get out, all of the ideas have faded away and I can’t remember any of them.

No More MySpace – FaceBook All the Way!

I’m going to quit using myspace all the way! There are just too many viruses on there. I checked my voice mail this morning and there was a message from one of my best friends (she lives in NY) and she said that her myspace account was destroyed along with the computer at her job. She was on myspace and somehow got tangled up with a trojan from the site. I refuse to use myspace any longer. My account is still open and running out of fear of getting a trojan in my laptop. That is the last thing I need. Then I definately will be getting no work completed. Our desktop computer is acting very weird lately. It comes on and only stays on for about 20 minutes then will shut down. We’re not sure what is wrong with it. Maybe I’ll add that as my #10 thing to do today on my list above. I doubt that I can fix it, but hey its worth a try, right?

Let it Rain – Let it Pour

Today is a lucky day for the area around here! It’s pouring down rain! I love the rain and we are in such a great need of it. Our grass is brown and crunchy – not what grass should be.

So far today, not much has really gotten done around here other than the bed was made up, laundry was caught up, the dishes were loaded in the dishwasher, and a few emails were replied to and oh my Lord, I posted a ton on AW today. So yeah, I guess some did get done. I feel so tired today. It’s raining outside and I guess it’s just one of those days. You know, one of those “lazy” days.

Dieting Update:

My diet is going pretty well. I’ve lost 4 pounds. Of course it’s not just the dieting – I think it’s probably also the exercise. What type – I’ll never tell. 😉

This post may not be as long as the others over this last week. I feel drained. So far I have quite a few questions ready to present during my interview with Freekibble and can’t wait to get started on it. I do however want to have a few more questions just to make sure that I can make at least a 600 word article. I have been contemplating on whether to pitch my artilce idea else where since I would be giving up all my rights to this article as well as it is very low paying. I’m not sure I want to give up all my rights and that is more important at the moment than the money is. I’ll have it all figured out in a day or two… I hope.

I have also had a great idea for another blog that I would love to make a bit of cash from. I’m not really sure how I could do that, but maybe I can figure that out as well in my free time. Well, enough writing for now. I’m going to go relax and maybe post another later.

Awesome News

I just received an answer to one of my queries for I Love Cats magazine for the profile piece I wanted to do on Freekibble.com – she said:

“One of my editors does these types of stories for I Love Cats. If you feel strongly enough about this project, I’ll pass it along to her. If you want to try to pitch the idea elsewhere, let me know and I won’t send it to her and I’ll delete it.
Sincerely,
Lisa M. Allmendinger
Editor
I Love Cats

I’m so excited, now to just be able complete it. Oh, I’m so excited. Woo! 🙂 Okay, I’m alright now.

Tuesday – A Brand New Day!

Today is a rainy day – I’m so happy! Well, my plans for today are as follows. Post for some quotes and information on AbsoluteWrite.com and I have received a lot of great feedback. I want to thank the ones who have posted responses to my post. Thank You!

I have a lot of great ideas and watching the news last night just added a few more to my list. They won’t be full feature articles or anything of that such, but they will be quick tips, list, and filler articles. The easy of the easy, and a great way for me to start.

My list of things to do today isn’t really all that long.
1. Update my Blog (doing it now)
2. Delete/Organize the hundreds of emails (Completed)
3. Post more requests on AW (Completed)
4. Answer Emails (Completed)
5. Finish 2 Parenting Fillers (Half Completed)
6. Clean the Fridge (Completed)
7. Enjoy the Rain (Yay, finally it’s raining!)
8. Work on getting all of the info for my “Is There a Control Freak in Your Marriage” article. (Almost Done)
9. Start up another Filler on Parenting (Started)
10. Finish my “Being a Freelance Writer” article
11. Get the “FreeKibble.com” Profile article questions created
12. Query another magazine with my idea (Completed)
13. Update my FaceBook Profile (Completed)
14. Email Les Parrott, PhD back (Completed)

See 14 things aren’t that bad. Now it’s just getting them all done. So far I’ve posted quite a bit on AW, so maybe I can relax on that issue. Answering emails and getting my profile article in order is probably the most important right now.

Well I posted on AW and oh wow, I couldn’t believe the responses I got and the amount. It was awesome.

Below is an email I got from a dear friend of mine… Read, enjoy, and laugh your arse off!

Today is International Disturbed People’s Day

Please send an encouraging message to a disturbed friend… just as I’ve done.

I don’t care if you lick windows,
take the special bus
or occasionally pee on yourself..
You hang in there sunshine, you’re friggin’ special.

Every sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad, is a full minute of happiness you’ll never get back.

Today’s Message of the Day is:

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile.

Send to all the people you love and don’t want to lose in 2008, even me.
If you get 3 back, you are a great friend.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we’re here we should dance.

Today – There’s a plan… I think!

The Plan

Well so far I think there is a plan for today. The key word there is “I think”. I have 5 article ideas that I’m working on. My “Control Freak”, “Potty Training”, “Freelance Writing”, “Freekibble.com” & “10 Questions for your Therapist”. I also have 4 query different query letters to get out today, some research, an outline or two, and a ton of interview questions to put together today for two articles. Pretty much I’m saying its going to be a very busy day for me.

Update:

Well as all plans go, some do not. This is basically what I call a “no go planning day“. Although some of my plans did get done, like for example – I made it to the grocery store and purchased all the needed items for our little cookout tonight. Chicken legs, corn, and beer. I also made it to the bank like I’ve been thinking about doing for a while now. I also organized a few of my quotes from experts for an upcoming article which I wanted to get done over the weekend – That didn’t happen. But finally things are a bit caught up. I also have the FreeKibble.com profile article to get working on as well. The good news is – Tomorrow is a new day and I can have a new plan.

Today I was cruising around online and looking thru some old journals I had on aol. I came across one from an old friend of mine. SlowMotionLife. I have not seen her online or heard from her in years. I often wonder where she is and what she is doing. She was a great inspiration to me way back when I needed it. I never got to thank her. I hope one day she’ll stumble back online and maybe drop me a line or two to let me know she’s alright.

A Quiet Sunday Evening

Well today was a pretty good day. Nope I didn’t get any writing done today, but I did recieve two response to emails from interviewees. One was from Les Parrott, Ph.D – His newest book is out in your local book store or can be found online. Be sure to check it out. He so graciously answered a few questions I had for an article that I have been working on and sent out a few queries to potential markets in hopes (fingers crossed) that they will love my article idea and say “yes awesome, it’s all yours.” That is the email or phone call I’m waiting for.

I love how helpful everyone in the writing world as well as some of the experts in particular fields are. They are all willing to help out someone. It’s so great to see that.

My Diet

Well, so far so good. I still have kept the 2 pounds off, but I haven’t lost any more. It’s the weekend (I know I should really stick to my diet) but I have been eating a bit of junky type foods, but not in large amounts. Very small amounts – I don’t know, maybe that makes a difference. Tomorrow however, I’m back to rice, veggies, and fruits. I still tend to drink quite a bit of soda. I try not to, but sometimes that is all that really goes with certain foods.

Birds and Windows Do Not Mix

This little guy flew straight into our window this morning. He hit the ground and we thought he had a broken neck. He was twitching and on his back like he was about to die. I went out and cupped my hands around him and he jumped out of my hand. Then I picked him up again and he just sat there, stunned. We gave him some water and he just sat there drinking. Later on we put him on a low tree limb and he sat there. A few hours later he was gone. We’re not sure if he survived or not, but he was no where to be found. We have a lot of small birds fly into our windows and some don’t make it. We find their little bodies laying on the ground in front of the windows or on the sidewalk further away. I dont’ understand why they all keep flying into the window, but some say its because it shows the reflection of the sky and trees. I wish they wouldn’t fly into the windows though. I’m afraid that one day they’re going to break on of the windows. This doesn’t just happen in the summer time, but all year around. It’s kind of freaky when you think about it.

My day was pretty good over all. We went to my boyfriend’s Grandmothers 87th Birthday party, ate a great dinner, had some Yorkshire Puddings, cake, icecream, and played a game of Trivial Pursuit – I didn’t win. All around it was great. I had a lot of fun.

I didn’t get any writing done today, but at least I did get this blog entry completed so it counts as some writing along with posting on a few forums earlier this morning.

Pre-Heat the Oven to 425F (220C, Mark 7). Crack open the Eggs into a cup and mix well. Add the Milk and Water together in a jug. Sieve the Flour into a large bowl and season with a sprinkling of Salt & Pepper. Pour the Eggs into this and stir together well with a fork. Gradually pour in the Milk and Water and stir until you have a stiff batter. Beat or whisk well until you have no lumps **. Allow to rest for half an hour.

Slip the Lard or Dripping into a deep sided baking tin and place just this in the oven. Allow to heat up until visible smoking. Quickly, but carefully, take out and rest on the top of the oven. Pour in the Batter mixture. Place back into the oven and bake for around half an hour until the batter is puffed up, golden brown and crispy.

Serve immediately

Serves 4 as a side dish to a main meal.

Yorkshire Pudding – Notes

* Not the healthiest of ingredients, but Lard does have a higher smoking point than Vegetable Oil. This is important if you want a successful puffed up crispy Yorkshire Pudding. The hotter the fat is when the batter first hits it the better the end result. Once in a while won’t hurt, but alternatively use Vegetable, Groundnut or Sunflower Oil, but not Olive.

** If you have a hand blender place all of these ingredients in a jug and just wiz until thoroughly mixed. If you don’t then these instructions should help avoid lumpiness.

Why I Became a Freelance Writer…

This morning I was reading on the Absolutewrite.com forum and came across this question. Why did you become a freelance writer? Good Question and I posted my answer as follows.
I became a freelance writer because….
A very good friend (no longer a friend) told me I could never make money by writing on the internet. So of course, me being me – I had to prove him wrong. He had tried to do the same thing – write online content and failed, so in turn he told me it just wasn’t possible. You needed a degree and an agent. HA! Boy did I prove him wrong. I simply winged it. I landed my first keyword assignment (very low paying) but the amount of money wasn’t really the point, it was making money by writing for someone on the internet. After that I decided to do my research and soon started actually making quite a bit of money writing keyword articles and blogs posts.

Once I showed him my articles online and a few magazines I had been published in, he no longer wanted to be friends with me. I guess he really wasn’t a true friend to begin with. I didn’t mean to come across as being a rude *****, but when someone tells me I can’t do something, well my competitiveness kicks in and well, the race is on. And well folks, that is why I became a freelance writer.
